There’s always talk about preparing patients and families for death, but who prepares the caregivers? They must be able to prepare themselves and cope with their stress during the death and bereavement processes, too. Register today to devote just 90 minutes to helping and teaching the caregivers. It’s well worth the investment.

  • Explain the distinct characteristics of family caregiver emotional preparation in relation to assessment and intervention
  • Discuss caregiver strain assessment in connection with patient status changes or impending death
  • Describe the stress-coping model components from the perspective of family caregivers navigating a loved one’s terminal illness
  • Apply the dimensions of caregiver preparation for death and bereavement to person-centered practice using a case study
  • Give examples of practical strategies in assessing family caregiver biopsychosocial-spiritual preparation for the death and bereavement experience by employing case studies
  • Demonstrate best practices in advancing family caregivers’ affective, cognitive, and behavioral preparation for the death and bereavement experience through case study analysis
