Category: Workshop

(90-minute webinar – available live or on-demand)
Tuesday, February 18, 2025
3:00 - 4:30 PM Eastern

This program will address hospice aide compliance and requirements and is a great opportunity for initial training, onboarding, or a refresher for RNs new to hospice. Learn about documentation, including required assessments, visit notes, and how congruent documentation and the narrative are critical to support terminality and meet Medicare guidelines. Don’t let common compliance and documentation challenges put your agency at financial and survey risk.

AFTER THIS WEBINAR YOU’LL BE ABLE TO:

  • Provide required documentation that supports Medicare hospice eligibility and ongoing terminality
  • Explain the benefits of working with the LCDs when assessing, documenting, and reporting patient status in IDG
  • Understand the importance of congruent documentation throughout the hospice election benefit
  • Distinguish between chronic versus terminal and how to document decline
  • Identify key compliance challenges and risks related to hospice aide services
    • Uncover common areas of risk impacted by documentation

WEBINAR DETAILS:  Part 2 of this five-part series will review the roles of hospice RNs and aides. Frequent areas of survey challenges deal with hospice aides, supervision, and the hospice plan of care. Documentation, including assessments, what is required, and how to document to support terminality will be covered. This includes addressing common compliance and documentation challenges. The webinar will also review high-risk admissions, how to use the LCDs in documentation, understanding the levels of care, required documentation, and common practices that put agencies at both survey and financial risk and how to avoid them.

THIS WEBINAR WILL BENEFIT THE FOLLOWING AGENCIES:  Hospice, Palliative Care
