WEBINAR DETAILS: Part 2 of the series will explain how to perform a mock survey (self-assessment) of your agency just like a surveyor would. Each area will be detailed, including the entrance interview, home visit and clinical record selection, office walk-through, and the myriad documents. You’ll learn how to survey the EP program and QAPI, including how to tie information from the QAPI program to what is found on home visits and in records. Discover what to look for in staff education, competency, and personnel files, how to interview staff and managers, and the specifics on how to include a home visit in a survey. This program will address how to review clinical records with particular attention to common deficiencies.

By the end of the webinar, you’ll know how to pull all the information together to identify trends and noncompliant areas. By making an actionable report, staff can be educated about noncompliant areas and make the changes necessary to maintain continued survey readiness.

MEET THE PRESENTER: Sharon Litwin, RN, BSHS, MHA, HCS-D, COQS, Litwin Home Health Consulting, LLC

Sharon has an extensive career in home health and hospice, starting as a field nurse in 1985. She has held positions in California and Missouri as Director of Patient Services, Administrator, Regional Director, and Executive Director of a large hospital-based home services division.

In 2003, Sharon left the corporate world to create 5 Star Consultants to partner with agencies to assist and educate those in need. She also worked as a CHAP and ACHC surveyor, performing Medicare deemed accreditation surveys for 10 years. In 2020, Sharon sold her company to Healthcare Provider Solutions. She currently lives in Cape Coral, Florida and offers her expertise and knowledge to a limited number of clients through her new consulting agency, Litwin Home Health Consulting, LLC.
