How does hospice end-of-life care take social work practice from a place that is "good enough" to levels that are unprecedented for today's standards? Delve into what it means to truly explore exceptionalism during end-of-life care and counseling.

AFTER THIS WEBINAR YOU’LL BE ABLE TO:

  • Define counseling as it applies to social work requirements and scope of practice
  • Describe five everyday situations that require skillful counseling interventions
  • Explain strengths/weaknesses of three hospice-preferred and evidence-based theoretical frameworks
  • Identify two high-risk situations where very specific counseling interventions are required
  • Describe three examples where specific documentation is essential

WEBINAR DETAILS:  What do people need most from social workers? What are today's obstacles? Who do social workers need to be, at the bedside and as truly effective members of the interdisciplinary team? This webinar answers those questions and will examine in detail what it means to become a highly skilled end-of-life counselor. It will provide evidence-based theoretical frameworks to help guide interventions. Part of moving towards unprecedented care is ensuring that documentation reflects high-level interventions. All of this and more will be covered in this important social work-specific focused webinar.

THIS WEBINAR WILL BENEFIT THE FOLLOWING AGENCIES:  Hospice, Palliative Care
