Are you accurately applying ICD-10 Codes that are relevant, compliant and appropriate to the level of most specificity based on clinical documentation? This workshop will bring you up to date on what becomes effective 10/1/2022.

Course Content: 

1. Overview of coding conventions and guidelines for home health coding.
2. Summary of coding changes for 2023 (effective 10/1/22)
3. Chapter-specific guidelines for coding infections, neoplasms, endocrine conditions, mental and neurological conditions, circulatory and respiratory conditions, musculoskeletal conditions, injuries, skin conditions, complications and use of Z-codes.
4. Scenarios will be presented to provide examples of coding guidance for home health, and to allow attendees to practice applying coding guidance.
5. Discussion of documentation recommendations to support home health coding.
6. Question/answer period.
